TIP #2. Make sure that the fish oil vitamins you take are high in DHA omega-3 and EPA omega 3. DHA and EPA are the most readily available types of omega 3 fatty acid to the body.  DHA has many benefits for the brain and is a central component of the nervous system and neurological development.  EPA is important for cardiac and circulatory systems.  The more DHA and EPA in an omega-3 fish oil vitamin, the better for your health they are. TIP #3. Never get an omega 3 fish oil vitamin supplement that doesn't include how much DHA and EPA there is in each capsule. If there's no way of telling how much DHA and EPA is in a supplement, then don't even buy it.  If a company has high levels of DHA and EPA in their product, then there's no reason why they won't provide the amounts of each one.  However, companies that have minimal levels of each tend to not want to list these amounts on the label. TIP #4. Be aware of the handling practices of a company and where they get their catch to assure that what you get is fresh.
