Slide 1: ==== ==== If you would like more information simply visit us http://tinyurl.com/8xtlo7b ==== ==== A good place to start building model railway trains scenery is the one of the many model train manufacturers; they sell the trains and they sell the props that go with the trains for a good scene. If they don't have just quite what you're looking for, you can try other places for your perfect landscape or you can build some on your own. When planning your scene, keep in mind that you should stick with a particular theme unless you're going for a discordant approach. The most important example is you wouldn't necessarily want 19th century buildings next to their contemporary counterparts or your scene would be particularly anachronistic. There are many resources available to teach you in-depth techniques to build your model trains scenery but there are a few basics that just about everyone should know about. Building trees can be as simple as going into your backyard and finding small branches that look tree-shaped, cutting it a little so it looks realistic, spraying it with a glue to preserve it, and then mounting it into the scenery. A technique for grass and other random small vegetation would be to paint an area with an earthy color, then get sawdust and stain it with various shades of green and brown and spread it lightly around the area while the paint is still wet. When the paint dries, you have an instant landscape. Alternatively, you could just buy some ground foam in different colors that can easily look like grass. The most common elements that people will want to build will be mountains since these can vary a lot. Some hobby stores can provide a mountain kit, which will create a mountain in a single application by starting with a liquid base that will harden into a custom mountain structure. Other techniques can include building a basic mass with wadded newspapers or just about anything you can think of, then covering the whole mountain in a plaster cloth or something similar. Sometimes, you'll run into finding many kits that have a piece or two that you're interested in and not anything else. Or maybe they have all of what you're interested in but they don't quite fit in your landscape for one reason or another. You can take those pieces and use what you need while modifying or discarding the rest. This is called "kitbashing" and it's using kits in a way not originally intended by the manufacturer. Although there are many different buildings available that are already constructed, you might want to build your own. You can do this by buying really thin sheets of wood so you can cut and customize your pieces. Make sure you draw out the plans for your building entirely and measure it out so you'll minimize mistakes.
Slide 2: The selections available for building model railway trains scenery are numerous, but you will have hours of fun of creating your own unique layout! Denis Gardner discusses model trains scenery and enjoys helping others get started in the amazing, fun-filled hobby. His newest book, " The Ultimate Guide to Model Trains, teaches hobbyists everything they need to know about model trains including setup, scale, layouts, benchwork, scenery and more.
