Slide 1: BUSINESS ANALYSIS AUDIT – PROPOSAL
Suitable for;Companies wanting to start up or formalise Business Analysis Functions or Companies with existing Business Analysis functions that require evaluating to ensure they are meeting the demands of the business. Terms of Reference Prior to the audit a terms of reference would be agreed with the client. This would include an organisational assessment to provide a statement of the Company goals and objectives. This would subsequently provide a baseline by which to measure the effectiveness of the team. Stage 1. At stage 1 an initial audit would be undertaken of the Business Analysis function. The audit would include the following elements; Testimonials – collection of feedback at team and individual level from peers and customers. Evaluation of all processes, documentation and methodologies used. Evaluation of the current state role definition and competencies, if in place. Review of the existing team structure. Review of the existing recruitment and performance management process.
Following the evaluation a written report would be provided that would cover the following; Feedback from the testimonials in the form of a SWOT analysis. List of strengths and development areas for each element that was analysed. List of tangible recommendations for improvement. A statement of the desired approach to achieve the improvements listed. A detailed action plan to achieve the improvements listed. Conclusion statement highlighting opportunities for the function to grow in the future, where appropriate.
Slide 2: BUSINESS ANALYSIS AUDIT – PROPOSAL
Stage 2 Following the audit of the Analysis function, Stage 2 will be driven by the recommendations identified in Stage 1. Typically they may be; Design of a comprehensive training development programme to address any skill gaps identified. Delivery of training. Mentoring of the team or individuals within the team to improve performance. Consultancy on key elements that require improvement e.g. process, documentation, role definition. Production of detailed job descriptions and job competencies. Design or re-design of a suitable team structure.
Duration Stage 1 – 10 days including production of the detailed report. Stage 2 – To be agreed with the client following completion of the Stage 1 assessment. Cost Stage 1 - £5,000 excl vat. Stage 2 – To be agreed with the client but based upon £500 per day excl vat.
