Slide 2: Here’s a few examples you gave of what YOU would say about why kids should be a priority in tough economic times.
Investment now pays for years to come. Failing kids is more expensive than funding them, in the long run. No other investment turns out well when kids are unsafe, unhealthy, and uneducated. Kids are our future! For every dollar invested early, there are great rewards. For every dollar taken away, the costs are huge. Taking care of kids -- all kids, regardless of their or their parents' immigrant status -- is fundamental to creating a fair, democratic, equal society. Children don't have a voting voice but they are impacted daily by legislative decisions. We need to assure children are represented and their needs are being met. They are our future and deserve an equal chance at a good life. 2008 Children’s Alliance Survey Results
