Remember to always load Victoria 3 before the clothes since otherwise some JCM morphs will not work ad therefore could cause poke-through. After loading Victoria enter your "AS-2035GirlMrphs" folder in the Poses section, select Victoria and use the "!-Disable JCM" pose, this will disable some unnecessary JCM morphs (elbow, etc.) which, otherwise, would cause poke-trhough. Joined: 29 Nov 2003 Posts: 1154 Location: Wherever with As Shanim You can use the disable JCM pose anytime you prefer, before or after loading the clothes but we suggest to do immediately so you don't forget about it and don't run into any poke-through. http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (1 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 2: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials Skirt and Magnets Victoria 3 and Skirts do not go along very well, therefore it is easy to run into poke-throughs but with the help of the included morphs (both movement morphs and fixers) and magnets it's just as easy to solve them. The movement morphs are quite easy and intuitive to use, you can either set them through the morph-ready-poses included or set them manually at a value that is 1 or even less if you need/ prefer so and you can mix them by setting (manually) more than one morph to the value you prefer. Magnets are a bit less intuitive than movement morphs therefore I'm going to show how they alone can be used to fix poke-throughs, this is particularly useful for more static scenes when you do not need the skirt to move and float around. Of course they can also come in handy to fix/customize movement morphs. The trick with the magnets is using their X-tran, Y-tran and Z-tran dials, you basically need only these 3 for the fixes and I strongly recomend to set and test the values manually from the menu rather than grabbing the magnet handlers with your mouse since the result with typing the dials will be much more effective and precise. 1) 1st Example: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (2 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58

To fix these poke-throughs when they happen there is a series of morph you find in a special group (Fixer) in the morph menu window (if you're running P5 or P6) as you can see below, note that all these morph are to be used from the BODY (press key 2): Joined: 29 Nov 2003 Posts: 1154 Location: Wherever with As Shanim - Fixer Morphs: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (5 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 6: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials The poke-through mainly happens when the arms are lowered. And now a couple of example with the corresponding fixes illustrated: - Example 1: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (6 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 7: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials - Example 2: Back to top Siliphiel Site Admin Posted: Fri Aug 11, 2006 9:19 am Post subject: Stockings Stockings and Boots - The stockings and boots can be used together or separately, when you use them together though, they poke-through each other in their default state therefore you need to remember to activate the fit boot morph for the stockings as illustrated below, this morph has to be activated from the BODY: Joined: 29 Nov 2003 Posts: 1154 Location: Wherever with As Shanim http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (7 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 8: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials Stockings side-to-side fix - Due to how V3 works/moves with thigh-high stockings such as the "2035 Girl" ones when the legs make more extreme side-to-side movement the inner part of the stocking seems to deform. To correct this there is a morph "Fix In" (BODY) you can use to quickly correct the matter and have the stocking look much more natural and better. See below example: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (8 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 9: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials Back to top Siliphiel Site Admin Posted: Fri Aug 11, 2006 9:19 am Post subject: Material Shader Material Shader 2035 Girl Material Shader is quite complex and the rendering outcome may considerably vary depending on the light and rendering settings. Always bear in mind that 2035 Girl Material Shader is supposed to be used with the Firefly rendering engine therefore if you want to use the P4 rendering engine instead you should use the P4 MATs included in the package. Joined: 29 Nov 2003 Posts: 1154 Location: Wherever with As Shanim The main "issue", so to speak even though it is not actually an issue, one may run into depending on the light settings when using the 2035 Girl clothes concerns the luminosity of the clothes which may result too bright in some cases, however this is also something that can be easily customized and edited changing the settings of one node only: the skin node. So, to find out how enter the material room and choose the shirt material, you will find the skin node on the up right corner, connected with an edge_blend funtion. Open the skin node window and look at the various parameters, those that mainly interest us are the Ka, Kd and the Ks which control the power and size of the brightness of the material. Now see the default settings (of the the darker style) and how it renders out: - Default settings: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (9 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 10: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials - Now see how considerably the Shirt look has changed by changing all the "K" values to 2 (the default was 1), the shirt is much lighter and brighter: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (10 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 11: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials - And another example. Of course you don't need to change all the values, this examples are just this, normally though the Ka value would remain unaltered while we would only change the Kd and the Ks values, just try various combinations out to see how the result changes: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (11 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
Slide 12: AerY SouL :: View topic - 2035 Girl Tutorials - And here the comparison with the shirts and Skin node settings: http://www.aerysoul.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=774 (12 of 13)2-9-2006 12:39:58
