Their fan page also includes a comment widget so fans can post comments about their products. The comments post on the fans' profile page, which is great for social proof. One of the best things that Zappos does to get people engaged is their "Fan of the Week" contest. Fans send in photos which includes the Zappos box, and other fans vote on the best photo for the week. The fans who win the contest are rewarded by having their photo posted on the wall for everyone to see. Tip: Look for ways to use social media to make your customers the stars. The more you shine the spotlight on them in your social media channels, they more likely they will be to engage with you and return. Emmy's Closet Emmy's Closet is an Etsy store with accessories for children. They use an application that was created by Etsy that allows fans to see their products and make a purchase directly through their Facebook Page. In addition to giving fans the ability to browse their products and make purchases right on their page, they've also included social share buttons so people can share their favorite products with their friends. When fans do so, a link to the products are posted on their Facebook profile so their friends can then click through and also buy the products. This is a great way for the buying experience to go viral.
