In March of 1889 a traveling show started and later
turned into a public animal attraction in April.
In 1951-1967 was a great time of renovation. In 1984 it was ranked the top 10 worst zoos in
America and was about to close. In 1985 they created new exhibits and the zoo was back on its toes.
