Slide 2: Swinging Swinging is one of basic exercises to minimize the rigidity of the eyes. So, how to improve eyesight through swinging? One of the causes of poor eyesight is rigidity of the eye muscles. And the main cause of eye rigidity is the habit of staring at a an object for a lengthy period without breaks, like for instance working in front of computer for hours without a rest. If the retina is motionless because of a long hard staring, visual images will fade and you will see a grayish visual field instead. This condition is harmful for your eyes. So to break this habit, a technique of swinging will make your eyes mobile again. There are two kinds of swinging: short swing and long swing Both techniques have the same purpose. First, learn the long swing. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Face the front and do not move the head nor the eyes throughout the exercise. Then gently swing your entire body towards the left, lifting your right heel as you do so. Do not look at anything as your swing, be aware of movement mainly. Return to your first position then gently swing to the right with the same manner. Make sure to keep breathing and relax. Repeat the movement until you have performed 20 complete swings. Sunning The sun is the source of life and sunlight energize your entire visual system. How to improve eyesight by sunning?.Sunning is a simple method of penetrating the light energy to the eyes. This technique helps in relieving photophobia and developing the eyes ability to see sharp in bright light as well as in minimum light condition. The therapeutic warmth of the sun also can give beneficial effect on the health of the eyes and the ability to relax them. Before doing this exercise you must take this precaution: o Do not face your eyes directly to the sun o Do not wear eyeglasses or contact lenses during sunning o Do the exercise in early morning or evening for only for short periods of time How to do sunning: o Stand in a shady area then close your eyes o Allow the warmth of the sun to penetrate into your eyes and forehead for about half a minute o Slowly turn you head from side to side o Inhale and exhale deeply o Feel the position of the sun, but again, remember not to look directly to the sun o Complete this exercise with palming By practicing this exercise daily, the retina will be gradually accustomed to brighter light. Progressively your eye can function efficiently at any range of light intensities. Blinking and Breathing Staring is one of the causes of refractory problems. People who work on computers or do a lot of reading are likely to dry out the eyes and experience strain and tiredness. Get into the habit of blinking regularly.
