Slide 5: This is where Microsoft Sql Server level Services are involved with Sharepoint Server. These are intended to provide all data storage , retrieval , modification and deletion requirements across the life cycle of Sharepoint Server 2007. Sharepoint uses one single database platform ie MS SQL Server. Doing this they have avoided the overhead involved in maintaining separate databases in same enviornment.

Slide 6: Imagine a scenario , in which we need to know if a document is in draft state or final(After reviewed) state or incase document becomes part of some approval state Ex: Your Salary Slip has to be approved by finance head of your company. MOSS 2007 have Workflow Services for all these scenarios. With these services every processing state of a document can be trailed. States like – submitted , pending , approved , rejected , closed. Large Enterprises targets to achieve Quality Standards which requires trailing of processing of document. In those cases workflow automation works big deal and with Moss 2007 its very easy to have workflow around documents.

ASP.Net 2.0 : Its famous Web Development Language. Sharepoint makes use of this language to get enriched with various features. Can visit www.asp.net for more info. Master Pages : Its a feature by which Shared part can be commonly used by different pages having different content. Web Parts : This is content part.In general words every data in sharepoint can be hosted in webparts only.We will read it more once we go into technical terms. Personalization: By this we mean depending on your permission level , you can change the data view of other users . If you have proper permissions you can drag and drop webparts for other users etc. Provider Framework: Microsoft.net framework is the provider framework of sharepoint
