Slide 1: ==== ==== Check these articles out they are great http://www.canyoubreastfeedwithbreastimplants.com ==== ==== There are no options for risk free surgery. All surgery comes with the risk of complications, with some risks being common to most surgeries (including that of swelling, bleeding, infection, redness, pain, and possibly reactions to anesthesia), and others specific to the type of surgery that you are having. Anyone planning on having a surgery should make sure to be aware of all the possible risks involved so they are fully prepared. This is true for those wishing to get breast implants as well. There are a number of possible breast implant complications that can occur, both during and after the initial surgery. One of the common breast implant complications is the deflation or rupture of the implant. Sometimes this happens almost right away, and other times it can take years and only occurs as the implant wears out. This can happen with both saline implants and with silicone implants. If this should occur, you will most likely require another surgery to remove the old implant, and to put in a new one if you should desire to do so. It isn't always known why a rupture occurs, but it could be due to the implant being over or under filled, damage from surgical instruments, pressure from a mammogram, trauma to the implant, too much handling during insertion, or capsular contraction. Another possible breast implant complication is capsular contracture. This happens when the scar tissue that surrounds the breast implant contracts for some reason, putting pressure on the implant. It can cause the implant to rupture, or it could just cause pain, a distorted appearance, or the shifting of the implant. In more severe cases it will be necessary to have surgery to correct the problem, and there is a chance it could re-occur again in the future. In some cases necrosis may occur. This means that dead tissue surrounds the implant and makes it difficult for the wound to heal. It can cause permanent scarring, and makes it necessary for you to have further surgery in order to correct the issue. It might necessitate the removal of the implant, at least temporarily, until the problem is resolved. Another complication is simply being unhappy with the results. You might not like how your breasts look with the implants, especially if they end up being uneven or they are a shape you didn't expect. They might not feel the way you expected, or they might shift. Sometimes calcium deposits also occur near breast implants and if this should happen, it might be necessary to remove the implant in order to make sure that this is the case, and that it is not a form of cancer. Some people also have a change in the sensitivity of their breasts and nipples. This could go either way, meaning that the tissue becomes either extra sensitive, or that you might lose some or

Although some women can still breastfeed, this is not the case with many women. Check out more information about large breast implants, breast implant complications and breast implant removal.
