Slide 1: The story of Blessed Peace Foundation began in the heart of Zipporah Wambua. A Graduate of The Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. Nairobi-Kenya. She has lived to tell her story of how wellwishers came her way and educated her after the death of her dad in her childhood. And now she is a voice for justice towards the poor, orphans, widows and vulnerable youth
Slide 2: The Blessed Peace Foundation is a non profit organization based in Kenya, East Africa which is focused on eradicating poverty, ignorance and disease by educating, caring and empowering orphans, vulnerable youth and widows towards transformational development Vision • The Blessed Peace Foundation is a world leader in empowering our world’s most vulnerable people, through transformational development, regardless of their creed, race and gender. Mission • Our mission is to reach out to the most disadvantaged in society (mostly: orphans, widows, widowers, HIV Victims and vulnerable youth) and we do so by providing food, shelter, health facilities, quality educational services within available resources. Empowering them increases their abilities and self-sufficiency to transformational development.

Psalm 82:3 Provide quality education for the unfortunate girl child as well as the boy child Fighting Hunger, HIV/AIDS and drug abuse To empower widows/widowers to bring about self reliance and promote voluntary action among them Youth Empowerment: (setting the pace for the next generation) by promoting the youth for social and economical development and leadership quality. To promote medical services to the aged, poor and education upon family welfare, health and sanitation. Restoring human dignity To encourage local people, government institutions, and the international community to give help The organization seeks to enhance the knowledge, respect, and observance of human rights, and to encourage people to give food, clothes and help to needy people It is a movement towards justice, peace, love and unity

Seeking justice for the poor, widow and vulnerable boy and girl child. Compassion: Responsiveness to life-threatening emergencies, abuse and conflicts where our involvement is needed and appropriate. Driven by love for God’s people consistence Accountability- We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and financial accountability, to God, the needy and the donors Partner with governments, individuals and organizations- who also share the quest for justice, peace, reconciliation, and healing in a broken world. Christian – We acknowledge the Mission of God (Father, son and Holy Spirit) in human transformation. His love, mercy, grace and providence. Jesus identified with the poor, widowed, children, powerless, afflicted, oppressed, and the marginalized. Community- I am because we are ( Mbiti John 1976)
Slide 5: History of Blessed Peace Fnd. • Began in 2007 during a famine that was killing so many in Eastern province • • • of Kenya. As a prayer meeting, widows sought God for provision. 2008-9 partnered with churches in Nairobi to feed the dying. (Karura Community Church, Nairobi Pentecostal Church) 2009-began agriculture as a team. Growing mainly proteins to support the families 2010-Launched a widows project that began a business of selling Paraffin/Kerosene and creating employment for them, encouraging those below 60yrs to work in farms for the rich

Slide 10: Current needs • Due to famine and hunger in Kenya, the project is trusting God to secure food for needy families. We trust God for 30 bags of maize and 20 bags of beans which would take the families through the drought. That would approximately be 700US Dollars. There are 48 widows and 1 widower Purchase of a Posho meal that will serve the surrounding communities and create employment for the widows. Approximately 3181.1 US Dollars Support for three students in high school (one in form two, and two girls in Form one), 17 young boys and girls in primary School -Approximate fee per child in High School as shows below: • •

Slide 12: Posho meal Machine: • The mill is comprised of a small shack and a maize milling machine for grinding maize • • • meal which is the staple food of most Kenyans. A Generator will run the Posho Mill BPF will provide services at a lower cost to the customer with a goal to help the residents of Vyulya location good prices on a service that is needed daily for most Kenyans. Profits of the mill will go towards supporting employment for widows working in the mill, Loans for small scale business, HIV victims in the area and water supply in their homes
