Slide 1: Web-based software for activity management www.targeton.com
Slide 2: Key value proposition
• targetOn is web-based software for collaborative planning, implementing and measuring of activities undertaken by a workgroup, community of practice or even an individual
Slide 3: Why targetOn?
You can manage what you can measure!!! Need to facilitate & measure progress by a community of practice or workgroup in implementing activities Current approaches ‘business as usual’ – time consuming, expensive, fragmented, discontinuous, inflexible, lack rigour, accountability and transparency
Slide 4: How targetOn works
• Software as a service (SaaS) combined with cloud computing model & Web 2.0 software • You get a blank targetOn & add actions, resources & users or you can use an existing template of content • We provide you with the software & manage the data • You can extract data (csv, xml) at any time for archiving or analysis • Updates to the software are made across all instances – no need to download anything
Slide 5: Using targetOn
• You provided with a blank targetOn site or can use an existing template. As an administrator you can create a list of activities aligned to indicators & then link relevant resources. You can also do other things such as change the theme & upload logos to customise your site. • Your users are then registered and can then use targetOn to prepare their own customised action plan. Reminders are sent to users when their actions are due. • Users can upload individual property maps or plans to their account, upload monitoring information & share local information using the discuss feature. • Scorecards show progress by each user & the community of practice in implementing activities. Administrators can add & edit user information, add news & events & email users about updates & achievements. • Only the user and administrators can see their data and edit it. • Data is backed up regularly or administrators can download data for archiving or for importing into other software packages for analysis e.g. geographic information system (GIS)
