You can find out if the housekeeping is good, if the pool is cleaned on a regular basis, how the parking is, and so much more. 2) Compare Prices - Make sure you always shop around.  Some comparison websites will give reviews and pricing for dozens of hotels.  Keep in mind that holidays and weekends wil usually cost you a little more.  If money is tight, consider staying during the week.  Also, it will cost you quite a bit more if you have an oceanfront room.  Ask about "ocean view rooms".  These can sometimes be quite a bit less, yet still give you beautiful views of the ocean. 3) Vacation packages can be cheaper - if you need to get airline tickets as well, you can usually find vacation packages that include hotel and airfare.  Some of the hotels will even give you a free shuttle service back and forth from the airport.
