I agree that cheating never pays off; it always comes and bites you in the butt. In the dieting world it is usually when you climb on the scale at the end of the week. With dieting cheating always leads to diminished results or no results. You cheat in a week, then when you climb on the bathroom scale, guess what no loss has taken place. That can be the most depressing feeling one can go through. You must also remember that most people that are overweight have fragile emotions, and are also sometimes emotional eaters. When they get worried they turn to eating as a solution. When you see results and are allowed every now and again to eat the forbidden food; don't you think that will motivate you? It motivates me! I will explain it all to you now! If we look way back, most people were hunters. They would only be able to eat when there was a kill. They would feast until the next kill. The human body is so marvellous; it has more safety measures than most gadgets in our world. The body would slow down the metabolism when there was no food around. Our bodies have a starvation mode. You cut down on calories and start starving your body; it will slow down your metabolism and store fat instead of burning it. If you are eating the correct foods in decent quantities, your body will burn fat and your metabolism will be accelerated. The day you eat the cheat foods, your body will also be fooled and will not kick in to starvation mode. Also when you eat the cheat foods you will also be motivated to stick with the program; and also you will feel that you are not been punished by having food that you cannot eat for long periods of time. Bring on the pasta, bread and pizza. Bring on the icecream, chocolates and the sweats. You can have them each week at least. To conclude I myself have been on many diets and have failed. This is the only one that is working for me. The foods that I was not allowed were always my downfall. There was always guilt involved when I cheated.
