Slide 1: Celebrate Diwali with Online Diwali Gifts People in India are gearing up for yet another festive season, Diwali or Deepavali, which is popularly known as the festival of lights. Both young and old celebrate Diwali with great zest and enthusiasm as it has everything from lights, rangolis, rituals, poojas, to gifts, sweets, and fireworks making it one of the most highly awaited festivals in India. Like most other festivals, it signifies the victory of good over evil. Since in Hindu philosophy, the light signifies the higher knowledge, the festival also symbolizes the awakening to the inner light or higher knowledge. Spanning 5 days, each day has its own importance and has an array of rituals to be performed. The first day is called Dhanteras and is extremely important for business communities as they begin their financial year on this day. The third day is the Badi Diwali and on this day people worship Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesh. Diyas or small lamps are lit and rangolis are drawn in order to welcome Goddess Laxmi, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity to their homes. The fifth day is BhaiDooj and on this day brothers visit their sisters’ house and shower them with Diwali gifts as a token of their love and affection. Earlier it was an occasion for people to get together, to meet friends and relatives, and to celebrate the festival with family members. However, today with lives becoming fast-paced only a lucky few are able to be with their loved ones on this grand occasion. Due to time constraints, work pressure and a lot of other issues majority of the people are not able to enjoy the festival the way they want it to. However, technological advancements have come to the aid of those who are unable to celebrate the festival with family, friends and relatives. Thanks to the internet and its paraphernalia, it is now possible for people, who are unable to make their presence, to present each of their loved ones with a diwali gift. Several online shopping sites offer an array of exclusive collection of gifts for Diwali. This includes diwali gift hampers, diwali diyas, diwali lamps, diwali mithai, diwali sweets, diwali pooja thali, diwali dry fruits, diwali silver gifts, laxmi ganesh gifts, chocolate hampers, diwali candles, diwali firecrackers and much much more. Diwali is more than just lighting diyas, drawing rangolis, bursting firecrackers, and presenting gifts. It brings forth happiness, spiritual awakening, joy of togetherness and hope of a prosperous tomorrow. Also read on - Online books, Online shopping in India
