This will not only make the child understand but also trust you. 6. Do not shout or over react towards your child's undesirable behavior this will invariably make him or her stubborn. Instead give reason for your disapproval of the behavior. Find out different ways and means to correct your child's behavior. Sometimes a stern look can be more effective than a shout. 7. Be firm. Parents should always keep in mind that they do not deviate from their statements. A 'no' should be a 'no' and should not turn into a yes at any circumstance. This will help in not only disciplining the child but also modifying faulty behaviors.
