Slide 4: BACKGROUND     Ownership was taken of what was lacking. This began societal change. The direct effect was the change in education. The indirect effect was the empowerment of the community. People were empowered to take individual ownership which expanded their locus of control in society.  Colonialism

Slide 6: TODAY… Do we take ownership of our responsibility?  Do we understand our responsibility?  Is it simply to provide an education equally?  Do we empower students to take ownership and understand their locus of control? 
