Slide 4: ERP? What for? There are many computer applications that people try to sell as being ‘ERP Systems’. Only few of those really meet the criteria to bear this title justly. Many computer applications that are being offered are little more, and often even less, than cash entry software. E.R.P. is the acronym of “Enterprise Resource Planning”. In essence, a true ERP-System is the source of (almost) all data that is necessary to run a business. This means that the data of all business activities, such as procurement, sales, inventory management, etc., will be placed and retrieved(!) from one location. So, when working with an ERP system, if you are looking for something, you only have to look at one place. It will be obvious to anyone that this, in itself, is likely to result in huge efficiency improvements and therefor, in substantial cost saving , quality improvement and customer satisfaction. This is one of the reasons why ERP systems, in general, are very expensive; If you have bought a good ERP system, it will definitely ‘earn its keep’ and render a good Return on Investment, but when prices are high, this may take a while. Most people know what it is like; to know that you have tools or information somewhere, but you “just don’t have it when you need it”. Some of us deal with this every day, both privately and in business. Wouldn’t it be great, if you would only have reach out at a certain place and just know that you will get what you are looking for? Wouldn’t you like to have a few extra workers who: - Remember what you tell them - Do nothing but work - Give you sound advice - Love to work and love to work for you - Will be there tomorrow, or on holidays, or in the middle of the night - Act, without you having to ‘push’ them step-by-step ERP-SB is a real ERP system that is so inexpensive and easy to use, that most businesses may earn back their license fee in just one day!
Slide 5: How difficult is it? ERP-SB is easy to get. You can order it via the Internet. ERP-SB is easy to install. It uses standard Windows installation procedures. ERP-SB is easy to set-up. It has a ‘set-up wizard’, allowing the creation of company ledgers within minutes. ERP-SB is easy to use. It is designed to be used by people with little accounting skills and little computer skills, without alienating itself from accounting- and computer-experts. A short learning span should also allow more flexibility in hiring temp-workers. ERP-SB is easy to maintain. It does not put much strain on IT infrastructures, it uses little disk space and it does not ‘hog’ processor capacity. Its ‘ease of use’ also leads to few support calls. ERP-SB is well supported. It has many built-in help features, an extensive user manual is available, and ‘online’ links that allows direct contact with professional service staff or other ERP-SB users. ERP-SB is well maintained. We are constantly trying to improve our products and are very sensitive to the wishes and preferences of our customers. Working with many other ERP-Systems can be difficult indeed. In many cases, for other ERP-systems, you will need to have a college level understanding of accounting, business management and computer science. Even getting such a system installed and working can be a dreadful and traumatic experience. In their attempt to shake every single penny from your pocket into their own, software sellers, that also sell services, may cloak product matters with a veil of mystery. Working with ERP-SB does not require much accounting skills or computer skills.
Slide 6: What can we do with it? Billing Creating an invoice in ERP-SB is nothing more than ‘telling’ ERP-SB that it should print one for you, after you have entered a sale. It’s “as easy as that”. Contact Management You can keep the data of all people and organizations that you do business with in your ERP-SB system. This way, whenever you wish to make an invoice, for instance, or need someone’s telephone number, fax number or e-mail address, simply let ERPSB hand you this information. Inventory Management If you manufacture or trade goods, ERP-SB allows you to keep information about these goods, how much you have, about what you paid for them and what you wish to sell them for and much more. If you have a service organization, you can treat standard services as ‘inventory items’ and gain many extra management and operational features. Quotations Easily select service items and/or inventory items and link them to your (prospective) clients, to generate quotations fast and conveniently. Sales Just as easy as it is to make quotations, is it, to enter sales into ERP-SB. No need to worry about making ‘single entry’ or ‘double entry’ postings into your ledgers or worry about adjusting your inventory status afterwards. ERP-SB has already done so for you. You only need to enter what you sold and to whom. Debt Collection Using ERP-SB, you can quickly see who owes you money, how much they owe you and when they should have paid. This should help you get your money on time and avoid selling more to those who feel that ‘paying is merely an option’. Dunning In a matter of seconds, you can let ERP-SB generate dunning letters, demanding payment from those who owe you money, or just kindly remembering them that they have an outstanding balance. Sales History Who have you sold to? When did you sell to whom? How much are the sales returns from specific customers? ERP-SB shows you this information, current, up to the moment that you ask for it. Procurement ‘Click’ and select what you wish to buy. ‘Click’ and select whom you wish to buy from. Creating purchase orders and enter ing actual purchases into ERP-SB is “as easy as that”. Without you having to spend any time on it, ERP-SB makes all financial accounting entries in your ledgers, updates your inventory status, and so on.
Slide 7: What can we do with it? Data export ‘Print’ ERP-SB output to screen, printer, or to a file (for use in another application). Data Exchange Accounting - General Ledger - Accounts Receivable - Accounts Payable - Treasury - Cash Management - Bank reconciliation - Cheque Administration - Chart of Accounts - Instant Financial Statements - Ledger creation wizard - Book Year Closing wizard - Multiple Currency - Multiple Companies - Multiple Locations - Multiple Languages - Multiple Country Editions Payment Advice Treat your suppliers as you wish to be treated by your customers; pay your bills on time. ERP-SB gives you one less excuse not to do so. Within seconds it can tell you how much money you owe, to whom and when you should (have) pay/paid. Reporting ERP-SB processes all entries in Real-time. As a result of this, all reports, schedules, declarations and listings are current up to the moment that you let ERP-SB generate them for you. Copy and Paste data between ERP-SB and other Windows documents and applications. Marketing Let ERP-SB quickly tell you what your sales results are, if they are in line with expectations or forecasts, and if this is not the case, what the difference is between actual sales and forecasts. You can get this information for each individual sales item or standard service activity. Management Within seconds, ERP-SB can give you current information about the performance of your company. This information may make it easier for you to make the right decisions, on time. See ‘what your business is worth’, what your profitable activities are, what bears down on your performance and what products sell best. Giving Account With ERP-SB, you can easily send your accountant all the data that he/she needs to check or verify your data, create annual reports, etc. You don’t even have to activate filters, make selections or worry if ‘what you send is what is needed’. ERP-SB supports all major business processes of Smaller Businesses
Slide 8: I don’t think that we need all that... Optional The use of many ERP-SB features is optional. You can choose to use them, or not to use them. ERP-SB features that you do not use, do not get in your way. You will not be confronted with them every time you work with ERP-SB and for many features goes, that you will never notice that they are there, until you need them. No ‘waste of money’ Considering the fact that ERP-SB hardly costs ‘anything’, not using any of its features would not constitute a destruction of capital or even a financial loss. Even by using a small amount of the ERP-SB features, you might earn back the license fee that you paid in just one single day. No extra work ERP-SB does many things for you. As a result of this, you don’t have to do anything extra to start using features later that you did not think you needed earlier. With ERP-SB you do what you need to do. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Slide 9: We might need more than that! Modules We offer a wide range of modules to support business activities that are not part of all smaller companies. We also offer modules for business activities that ERP-SB already supports, but to a lesser extent than these modules do. In general, prices for these modules are very low. Some of the business activities that are (extra) supported by our modules are: - E-Commerce (trade via the Internet) - Human Resources - Manufacturing - Consolidation - Field Sales - Payroll Open Architecture Reporting ERP-SB’s industry standard database structure allows easy access to third party report writers to create custom reports. If you need more, we can give you more. Although ERP-SB has been designed to support all major business processes of smaller businesses, each business is unique. Each business has its own demands and preferences. We have several ways to meet these extra needs: - ERP-SB ‘Add-on’ Modules - Open architecture reporting - Software customizing - Our other ERP product lines (EE and CE) Software Customizing If we feel that ERP-SB users in general may profit from suggested adaptations, we will include them into new releases. If such adaptations will only be useful by one or few users, a custom release can be issued for them. Other ERP product lines For those, who even want more, we have our ERP product line for mid-sized organizations (ERP-Enterprise Edition) and one for large organizations (ERP-Corporate Edition)
