One thing life teaches us is that if you let barriers stand in your way or folks stand between you and your goal; you can never achieve what you've set out to do. You control your destiny and if you yield too much along the way, you'll just never get there. In this case, is this really fair to you? Sure, you could reason that each person or event along the way that takes you further from your objectives was warranted, perhaps even expected, and that you are the better person for understanding this and changing your path in life. However, I submit to you that if you actually believe this, you have done a disservice to yourself and to others observing your actions, as you indeed have limited both yourself and their dreams. You see, the better man is the one who sees an objective, picks a goal, and perseveres to attain it. And no, I am not suggesting choosing a bunch of goals that will end up harming another or society as a whole, so let's take that little argumentative comment off the table prior to you using it as your excuse. Using an excuse or a collection of well-defined excuses to get yourself to pretend that failure is okay, is not acceptable, it's not noble, and those who have achieved will see that and know that your explanations for not meeting your goals are indeed, excuses. Those who have challenged adversity, and persevered in a dedicated cause, will achieve, and those who don't and look for excuses along the way won't. Which are you?
