Slide 1: ==== ==== For an excellent resource with great customer reviews have a look at the new book by Charles Richards called: The Psychology of Wealth - Understand Your Relationship with Money and Achieve Prosperity http://tinyurl.com/8ymojdt ==== ==== We have instant popcorn, instant TV, broadband web for instant connection. But can we have instant success in Real Estate? A lot of major influences in my life as a Business man are to do with building sound sense and relaxing my expectation to realistic levels. This may not be something that most like to talk about, but it is essential to being a LONG term investor and not out for quick windfalls. Impatience is always costly I have done deals where I was trying to make too much too fast. I got suckered into what all the major Guru's tell us. Things like 'no money down',' one deal once in your life can fix everything', 'your only worry will be knowing what to do with the money you make'. I'm not saying it is false, but there are some things they leave out (unwittingly off course!) YES Real Estate is mega profitable, but no...It will not happen today, tomorrow nor will it happen next week! Being Impatient and trying to hit a $30 000 passive income in 2 weeks is putting unnecessary strain on yourself and is a major reason why people may want to quit early. I know for sure I did! I had to learn that being impatient makes me a terrible business person. Because when I am impatient, I tend to make mistakes which are rooted in my desire to break income records and I go for deals which break the laws of monetary physics (if such laws exist!).Why? Because I bought all that the media was telling me,all the stuff on 'today today today' It become evident that the more Impatient I became, the more likely I was to never making it. Because I would want to sell profitable houses with a few hundred bucks passive cash flow in order to try an ambitious 1031 which I never had a realistic chance of making. It is not in trying a 1031 exchange that one is impatient, it is in despising humble beginnings that causes one problems. Truly Wealthy investors are people who are willing to let their investments grow as they also gain experience. They are seeking profitable means to their deals, but not dabbling in eye-candy deals that won't honestly be realistic to their accountants. Wealth to them is both maturity and money. Get Wealthy, not Rich What is the difference between Rich and Wealth one may ask.Well ask a securities agent, Rich is
Slide 2: anybody generally considered to be earning $200 000 per year and having $1 000 000 Net Worth. That is quantifiable. Wealth on the other hand, is qualitative. Is your Real Estate making your life as a WHOLE better? Are you a more patient spouse, loving parent, aware citizen, responsible friend? Are you really? What use is it to have more money but less of the things that really matter in life? A large part of being a good investor is being able to control your investments and yourself. A truly successful investor may not always get things right, but at the very least they are mature enough to understand that nothing happens without pitfalls. The Microwave society tells you 'Its a sunny road all the way to Vegas', but the Real world says 'Turbulence up ahead, fasten your seatbelts, we will get through it unscathed.
