Slide 2: Deciduous • Falling off or shed seasonally or at certain stage of development in the life cycle • An example of Deciduous is various types of maple trees
Slide 3: Perennial • A plant that lives for many years. • An example of perennial is Shasta Daisy, Peony, Daylily, Hosta, Flax, Maltese Cross.
Slide 4: Annual • Plants that completes its life cycle in one growing seasons. • An example of annual is just vegetables, yellow and orange marigolds.
Slide 5: Conifer • A tree with cones and narrow leaves called needles. Pines and firs are conifers. Most conifer are evergreens. • An examples of a conifer are evergreen, pine trees, and firs.
Slide 6: Stamen • Male reproductive organ of a flower. Stamen
Slide 7: Stigma • Structure located at the top of the pistil. Stigma
Slide 8: Pollen • Contains the males sex cells of a seed plant The tiny yellow dots on the bee is pollen
Slide 9: Anther • The part a flower’s stamen that bear’s pollen
Slide 10: Ovary • That part of the pistil which contains the seed, and in most flowering plant develops into the fruit • An example of a ovary.
Slide 11: Petal • Colorful leaf like structure that surrounds the male and female reproductive organs in a flower. This are example of petals that are all different size and shape.
