Slide 1: ==== ==== Just Released: The BEST SEO SOFTWARE EVER.(A bit pricey. Only Meant For Successful People) Click below.. http://www.insanebacklinks.com ==== ==== The terms SEO, or search engine optimization, and SEM, search engine marketing, are often used interchangeably. Yes, they are related in that they are both ways to increase your visibility on the web; however, their meanings are not the same. In essence, search engine optimization is a branch of search engine marketing, of which the goal is to get noticed by the search engines. Search engine optimization is the process of building your web pages in a manner that enables the search engines to rank them higher in an organic, or natural, search listing. This can be done through on site and off site optimization. On site optimization includes updating the components that make up the site such as the content, meta tags, keywords, URL structure, image tags, internal linking structure, page load time, and the XML sitemap. Unique title tags that describe the content on the page accurately should be included for every page of the site. Off site optimization includes promoting your sites through link building strategies like articles, blogs, and social media. The goal of off site optimization is to get quality links pointing back to you from relevant sites. SEO is a long term building process that never really ends. It's an ongoing process that needs to be kept up with in order to be successful. Unless you hire a professional consultant, SEO doesn't cost anything. An organic search listing is free. Of course, practicing SEO efficiently does take a lot of time and effort. While SEO focuses on ways to build your website, search engine marketing focuses on how to promote it. Generally, SEM refers to pay-per-click advertising in which advertisers bid on keywords for their advertisement to be seen in the "Sponsored Links" section of a search result and are charged every time that a user clicks through to their website. These text advertisements are found at the top and on the side of a search engine results page. Unlike SEO, which takes time to see results, SEM can provide more instant gratification. It's fairly easy and quick to set up a Google AdWords account, but it's going to cost you. Pay-per-click advertising can be very costly, especially if you are going after popular keywords. So, which should you use? A well-planned and properly executed combination of both is probably the best plan, but for some businesses it just isn't an option due to time and budget constraints. In a highly competitive market it will likely be difficult to rank well for certain keywords organically. This is especially true if the competition has been around much longer since domain age is a ranking factor. In this case SEM might be the best option. A well targeted pay-per-click campaign can help to bring visitors to your site. Whether you rely on SEO, SEM, or both for traffic to your website, what really matters is what your visitors do once they get there. It's important to have good, high quality content on your site that will get the sales, leads, or other conversion that you are looking for. If your website isn't useful the time and money spent on SEO and SEM is wasted.
