Slide 1: I think ibooks is a pleasant app to use, except for the DRM that makes it a very limited DRM sandbox. What i want is to deploy my ibookstore purchased books to devices like ipad, iphones and other devices, and have access to my library through whichever device i am in front of at that moment in time, management of my library is "in the cloud", that sounds pretty slick and impossible before the drm is removed from ibooks purchase. I understand the anxiety of publishes trying to secure their profit and author's, but to books, i beg to defer, the whole point of digital book is anything, anytime, anywhere, i believe that too much intention and efforts to restrict fair use will end up being punished by users. If you really don't want DRM, then buy the book. Split it, scan it, that's how i did, i have about 30 books scanned so far, I prefer Adobe Acrobat 9.0's Clearscan technology to do the work Then i turn to softwares to remove DRM from ibooks for it is more quick, and maintains a relatively small file size, ibooks removal is a fine choice for people who'd like to keep things simple. Ibook DRM removal can strip DRM from ibooks using three steps, input DRM protected file, choose the output folder, then click the "Remove DRM" button. The decrypted file will be saved to another folder, so no need to worry about the original file might be damaged or changed. After DRM removal, you can also convert the epub files to other formats that supported by ipad, kindle or nook.
