Slide 3: MILAN, ITALY        Giorgio Armani. A top Italian Fashion Designer, Particularly for his menswear. Gianni Versace. Versace was an Italian designer of both clothing and theater costumes. Both fashion lines usually host their fashion shows during fashion week, which usually is in spring/summer Milan, Italy is known for their fashion houses, such as Lombard Metropolis, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in the Piazza Duomo (oldest shopping mall). The city is not only known for their fashion but Milan is full of old architecture. It has great history behind it. Why a fashion capital? Thanks to the creation of the big fashion houses, Milan has become synonymous to the world with "class and trends". Indeed you have many places and activities within this capital . You can visit The Piazza del Duomo or Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Slide 6: PARIS, FRANCE       Hubert de Givenchy. He was a French aristocrat and fashion designer who founded the House of Givenchy in 1952. Christian Dior. He was an influential French fashion designer. As like any other fashion capital of the world, both designers fashion shows are held during fashion week of spring/summer but Christian Dior on the other hand also holds shows, Parisian Couture; who present exclusive fashion shows in their salons. There are many Fashion houses in the area, Givenchy is known under the Haute Couture just like Christian Dior is under Parisian Couture. You can find Christian Dior in boutiques. The city is also known for there shopping of course and there history and the architecture as well. The reason why Paris is one of the fashion Capitals is because Paris is the birthplace and reigning capital of the fashion industry. The couture house. The designers. The boutiques. The city itself. Things happen in Paris that happen nowhere else in the world. There are many things that you can do and see within this capital. One interesting place in which you can visit is the Eiffel tower. 

Slide 9: LONDON, ENGLAND      John Galliano. Galliano Started his own label under his name and began his career as a fashion designer. He was awarded British Designer of the Year in 1987, 1994, and 1995. Stella McCartney, a very talented designer and has had her work all over the world. She does collaborate her work with other companies. The fashion shows are during fashion week. Very big and different every year. The fashion houses that are located in London, has its own fashion gala and fashion weeks that happen every now and then which play an important role in setting the fashion trends for the following seasons. London is also known for King's Road which had been seen as one of the most important fashion location in the whole of Europe. London also houses the Victoria and Albert Museum which is one of the very few prestigious fashion museums in the world today. In the past few years London has grown along the side of Milan and Paris and taken over as the fashion capital of the world. It is home to some of the world best designers. Within London you can visit museums and art galleries, or even take day trips to historical buildings such as Hampton court and other places.  

Slide 12: TOKYO, JAPAN        Hanae Mori one of the most prominent and respectable fashion designers in Japan. Kenzo Takada, Kenzo's love for fashion developed at an early age, particularly through reading his sisters' magazines. They host their fashion shows during fashion week, twice a year. Most Japanese fashion houses are in Tokyo. One of their fashion houses located in the area is Comme des Garcons. Other things Tokyo is known for is there wonderful Japanese restaurants. Tokyo, Japan is one of the large stand most influential fashion capitals of the world. With companies like MIKIMOTO, the most renown pearl maker in the world, Tokyo and its fashion are very strong. The fashion is evident everywhere. There are many places to visit in Tokyo, especially temples; for example Kannon Temple, I feel that the best activity to do there is shopping.

Slide 15: NEW YORK, U.S.A.        Calvin Klein award-winning fashion icon and marketing pioneer. Bill Blass is the recipient of many fashion awards, including Fashion Institute of Technology’s Life time Achievement Award. New York is known for fashion week and that’s when theses designers show what they have and make it big. Its surrounded by many fashion houses because the fact that we get all these imports from all over the world. For example; Ralph Lauren and Donna Karen. The reason why New York is one of the capitals of the world is because of these imports that they get and the trades they make. The city is also known for late nights, big sky scrapers and non-stop going people. New York City, a city which is just filled with many activties. Shopping, meeting new people, and even interesting places; like Elise Island.
