Slide 1: Staffing Services With recession, downsizing and layoffs rampant in the market there are many highly qualified candidates looking for any kind/type of employment. Full time, part time or contract employment, anything is up for grabs. With some of the recessionary effects easing, economic improvements slowly rising, and companies advertising for open positions, it has been seen that there has been a massive inundation of applicants that has made things difficult for companies to screen the applicants. In such a scenario the staffing services company is best suited to deal with such situations. Staffing services help the companies by doing the first-round of screening and assess eligible candidates most qualified for the job and the company. Staffing agencies can save a significant amount of time and money for these companies by the initial screening as this would weed out those that aren’t suitable for the job profile. Even if the job profile is for full-time or part-time or contractual, companies can take a faster hiring decision if the candidates are initially screened by the staffing agencies. Due to the still uncertain market, companies are preferring to take in candidates on a contractual basis as this would save them money, they can takeover the work from employees who are either on vacation or on a sick leave. This would also allow the company to test the candidates' capabilities and take a decision at a later stage. Temp-to-hire services take a step further by providing candidates to a company that can assess them for some period of time and if found satisfactory can employ them as fulltime. This trial kind of employment has become increasingly popular in these trying times as it would benefit the employer and the employee. Such kind of special services are made possible by staffing agencies to fit in both the employer's needs as well as the employee needs during such unsure times.
