Deeds of mankind in modern times are causing a threat to our biological ecosystem. Man is solely responsible for the imbalance created in the environment. Many non-profitable environmental organizations are coming up with relevant environmental projects to save our earth from environmental exploitation. One such organization is 'Greenpeace' founded in 1971 in Amsterdam, Netherlands for creating a peaceful green world. This organization was formed with a protest against the underground nuclear testing done by the United States on Aleutian Islands.One of island is an earthquake prone area having many endangered species. Later dropping of the bomb was excluded and this area is now transformed into a bird sanctuary. Our earth, if maintained properly would be the most beautiful place to live in. Earth is losing its greenery due to deforestation leading to biological diversity. Green peace includes many schemes for making the earth a better place to live in. The initial step in saving the earth is energy revolution. Natural resources like water, woods, coal, etc. are on the verge of extinction. Hence, usage of natural resources should be reduced to maximum to reserve the resources for future use. The substitutes like biomass, wind power and solar energy should be used instead of natural resources. Wood is on the verge of extinction as trees are being used for making paper without conserving the natural resources. Hence, recyclable paper should be used to prevent cutting of the trees resulting in deforestation. Next to energy revolution, the process is sustaining agriculture. In modern times, chemical fertilizers are being used to increase the growth of agriculture. Food crops are cultivated by recombinant DNA technology. It causes the harm to the environment as well as human health. For eradicating this problem, a meeting indulging farmers, scientists and traders need to be conducted in order to cease the genetic junks produced through conduction of experiments and cultivation. Deforestation ultimately results in soil degradation. 'Living oil campaign' is the campaign to protest against chemical fertilizers to revive the soil from degrading. The ultimate step is to organic fertilizers and ecological farming. This will assure security to food items. Being involved in improving soil efficiency, oceans should not be forgotten. The coastal ecosystem is the vital livelihood resource for fishes, protection against storms, tidal variations and tsunami. So marine tourism, aquaculture, thermal power plants serve as a recreation source. 'Coastal Regular Zone' is the organization that deals with the protection of coastal areas. Large scale fishing should not be carried out as it will decrease the commercially available fishes like tuna, marlin and swordfish. Taking care of this will protect the marine species and habitats and prevent carbon pollution. Electronic products that get deposited on the earth are consumed by the earth. Electronic or ewaste contain toxic chemicals and metals that are non biodegradable. IT companies are responsible for depositing e-waste.
