For instance when writing an article like this, you may estimate the time as 30 minutes. But you may take more or less. So with experience you will manage to tell how much time to allocate each task. When starting record the time each task takes. This will help you be better a judge in the coming days. 3. Predetermined the expected results. Every task in your list needs to be one that takes you towards a certain goal. Ideally you should stop to ask yourself why you are doing certain things. It is not advisable to work like a robot. Why do you watch TV for 2 hours a day? Why not 15 minutes or even 3 hours? Why did I write this article? And for that reason why did you read it? What did you aim to accomplish by reading it? These questions can be an eye opener when asked probably and answered adequately. 4. Do one task at a time. It is better to write articles in period. It is better to make all customers calls in one block. You will take less time overall writing an article from begging to end rather than writing in piecemeal. In that respect, when writing a to-do list lump related activities together. It has to do with the human mind that is geared to consistency and there is no use going against it. 5. Work in chunk of 2 hours without interruption. When it is time to work, then just do nothing else but work. Ask your family members to respect your working hours. Refuse to pick phone calls that are not work related during your working time. Work non stop for 2 hours,more if you can. You will realize that working uninterrupted brings more productivity than working 20 minutes here 15 minute there.
