Are you having problems finding great niche keywords? Are you able to find highly searched niche keywords with low competition? Are you trying to find keyword research services? One of the hardest parts of internet marketing can be finding a good niche to start in. With proper keyword research, you can start in any niche, even the over-saturated diet niche. With the proper tools and research you can promote any niche you want. One of the main factors in doing keyword research is knowing where to start. I like to promote Amazon, so I want to find an Amazon product to push. The first place we would want to go to is Amazon. Makes sense right? You will need to dig down in the categories to find something half way decent with a high price tag. Then we will want to research that product and find out how much competition there is. This is one way of doing it. However, let's think outside the box. Amazon is a great place to find a product to promote, but how many people do you think are doing the same thing. Lots of them, and they are going to promote the product as a keyword (unless it's trademarked). You do not want to be competing for the same product keyword unless there is no competition. It's time for you to be your own keyword research service. Instead of Amazon let's go to tradekey. Tradekey is a wholesale site where most of the manufactures are located overseas. If you scroll down to the bottom of tradekey, you will see an area that says hot products, with a clickable alphabet next to it. When you click on one of those letters it will bring up a page with tons of niche keywords for different products. This is a great place to find starter keywords for your research. Let's take this one step further. Let's say you found a good product on Amazon that you wanted to promote, but the competition for that item is strong. Enter your product name in the search field on tradekey. It will bring back a bunch of results that you can use to get your keyword ideas from. See how easy it is so far? You don't need to find any keyword research services. When you go to the IM forums and read articles online, people pretty much say the same thing. Use the Google keyword tool to do your keyword research. Go to Amazon and eBay to find your products to promote. The truth is you need to think a little different from other marketers. While eBay and Amazon are very good places to find products to promote, you will be better off getting your keyword ideas from somewhere else. Thinking differently from other marketers is always a great thing to do, but not always. One of my favorite places to get niche and keyword ideas, is from Google trends. A lot of marketers know about this, but it is still a great place to find new niches and new keyword ideas. The trends change almost every day so there is always something new. Most of the time it list political stuff and I'm not really into that, so you will have to check often for something good.
Slide 2: I was checking Google trends one day and found a trend that had a famous doctor followed by a diet. Basically the doctor had reviewed this diet on his show, and gave it a good review. This diet could also be found under ClickBank. I jumped on this immediately. I had a site and an article up within the hour. I hit 5 of the major article directories and bookmarked them using Digg and other bookmarking services. I even wrote a press release and hired someone from Fiverr to publish it at a bunch of press release sites. When I woke up the next morning I had cleared over $2000. The profits are still rolling in from this site almost a year after I made it. I'm not trying to brag, I am trying to show you that with some work and very good keyword research you can earn money. It took me a long time to learn proper keyword research. Once I had this down everything just fell into place for me.
