It is difficult or in most of the cases impossible to find such valuable deals else where. The thrill of thousands of items on display, sometimes at throwaway prices acts as an attractive feature to shoppers who are saved from going one shop to another. The range of variety people get to choose from, makes shopping from outlet stores irresistible. Given the craze for outlet stores, manufacturers prefer to have their own stores wherefrom they can interact directly with customers. A lot many times it is cumbersome and time taking for the products to move out of the retailer’s inventory. And more so if it is ‘the shopping season’ with crowds milling around stores offering good deals, a slow inventory may force the manufacturer to incur huge loses. This problem gets obviated in outlet stores. When the season gets over, manufacturers, move unsold products to the outlets. The craze for outlet sale brings in large number of shoppers. And most of times the bulk of the stock gets cleared. Often manufactured goods get slightly damaged during the process of manufacturing. However, the gaff not withstanding, the goods are still in a good condition to be sold and there are takers to it too. However the flip side to it is that, they cannot be sold from a retail store. When let out at a discounted price from factory outlets, these items find many takers. Buyers buy them in complete knowledge of the defect. Manufacturers manage to get them sold simply on the strength of their brand image. This kind of selling is more popular with electronics and garment manufacturers. For manufacturers, seasonal sales have always been unpredictable. Garment producers, manufacture garments in bulk in anticipation of good sales. If plans work their way, it leads to huge profits. If not, manufacturers fall back on outlet sales to clear the buffer stock or prepare for industry changes. Manufacturers, who sell products from outlet stores, are compelled to cut down on their profits in order to spur sales. However, less profit is always preferred over complete loss. So, manufacturers stand to gain more than they lose through factory outlet sales. So the next time you see a factory sale or an outlet sale remember, you have a king’s choice, a queen’s variety and a princess’s range to choose from.
