Slide 1: UK attractions, accommodation and travel Get a map before you go, find the places you want to visit and work out a route - it will save time later but be prepared for a change if something more interesting should come up. You're bound to come across someone who'll tell you somewhere better to go! Want to find your way around then explore them before you go. Firstly, a quick rundown of the most important places to see: Tower of London where you can take in the Beefeaters and Crown Jewels. Westminster with Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Trafalgar Square (just because everyone's been there). National Gallery. Buckingham Palace. Covent Garden. British Museum. Imperial War Museum. St Paul's Cathedral. Madame Tussauds. Science Museum. Soho. Piccadilly Circus. Here are:  Tower of London: Apart from being a tourist attraction, the Tower is used to guard the priceless Crown Jewels, used to crown sovereigns on their Coronation Day. The guardians of the Tower are famously recognized in their red tunics and black stockings and being known as the 'Beafeaters'. The National Gallery: Situated on the north side of Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery has been the home for the National Collection of Art from 1250 to 1900. The gallery contains more than 2,300 paintings - all of which are owned by the British public. Buckingham Palace: This is the official London residence of HM Queen Elizabeth II. After being developed from a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703. The science museum: Founded in 1892, the Science Museum was originally a combination of items from the Royal Society of Arts and the Great Exhibition of 1857, but now is home to an unparalleled collection of technological history running to hundreds of thousands of exhibits. Trafalgar Square: At the centre of London lies Trafalgar Square, in fact the square is the point from which all distances to locations in the UK are measured. Imperial war museum: The Imperial War Museum was originally founded in London in 1917 to commemorate those who died or suffered in the First World War. Focusing on British and Commonwealth conflicts from the First World War to the present day, the museum features military vehicles, weapons, war memorabilia, a library, a photographic archive and an art collection, and the exhibits also include film and sound recordings.     
Slide 2: Westminster Abbey: The Abbey has been seen as a centre of learning, third only to Oxford and Cambridge in importance until as recently as the nineteenth century, and parts of the King James Bible and the New Testament were translated there.
