Slide 2: Photo sharing from Google  Together, Picasa & Picasa Web Albums make it easy for you to organize and edit your digital photos, then create online albums to share with friends, family & the world.  Proceed to http://picasa.google.com to download and install Picasa on your computer.
Slide 3: Add photos to Picasa  Use Picasa to view photos already on your computer, or to import photos from your camera.  Once you’ve downloaded and installed Picasa, select “Only scan My Documents, My Pictures, and the Desktop” from the options.  You can also import photos from a variety of sources, including: cameras, CDs, memory cards, scanners, webcams, etc. Photos you import are saved on your computer and displayed automatically in Picasa.
Slide 4: My Pictures to Picasa  Picasa will scan your entire hard drive for pictures and other files or you can choose for it to only search certain folders.  If you only save photos in the My Pictures file, then select the My Pictures folder and choose to scan always.  Storing photos and choosing to scan the My Pictures file will save time and keep Picasa from scanning every type of file on your computer each time you open it.  You can always go to Tools (top toolbar) and select Folder Manager if you ever want to search another folder to import more files into Picasa.
Slide 5: Folders in Picasa  Folders Folders in Picasa represent the folders on your computer. Changes you make to folders in Picasa affect the corresponding folders on your computer's hard drive. For example, if you delete a photo in a Picasa folder, that photo is also deleted from the computer.
Slide 6: Albums in Picasa  Albums Unlike folders, albums exist only in Picasa. Albums allow you to create groups of photos taken from multiple folders on your computer. Albums display those photos without actually moving the photo -it's like a playlist for photos. When you delete or move photos from an album, the original files remain in their original folders on your computer.
Slide 7: Sign up for Picasa Web Albums  Select Sign in to Web Albums with your Google Account or sign in at http://picasaweb.google.com
Slide 8: Picasa Web Albums  Picasa Web Albums provides 1 GB of free storage that makes sharing your photos quick and easy.  To upload photos into a web album:  1. Select the folder you want     uploaded 2. Right click and select the “Upload to Web Albums” command. 3. Choose Small for “size to upload” for blogs and web pages. 4. Choose Public for “Visibility for this album” 5. Click Upload button to begin uploading.
Slide 9: Picasa Web Albums  Extra Option: To sync photos into a web album:  Select “Sync to Web” blue icon within the folder view.  This command allows you to sync future changes to pictures in this folder to the web each time you sign into Picasa.
Slide 10: Using Web Albums  Once you have signed into Web Albums through Picasa using your Google account username and password, click on the link, “Web Albums” to view the albums you have uploaded to share on the web.  All albums you have uploaded will appear in this view.  You can view and share albums from this screen.
Slide 11: Adding a slideshow in Blogger  Now that we have uploaded a web album, we are ready to create a slideshow in our blog!  Sign in to your blog and select Layout to add a gadget.  Choose the “add a Gadget” option wherever you want your slideshow to be placed.  Select Slideshow
Slide 12: Configure Slideshow  Give your slideshow a title  Choose Picasa Web Albums as the source  Option: select album  Enter username (established when you set up      Google account, you can find this by clicking on My Account when you are signed into Web Albums) Choose the album to display in your slideshow using the dropdown menu. Choose the speed of the slideshow using the dropdown menu. Options: you can select to open a slideshow in a new window when guests visit your blog and click on your slideshow (recommended) You can select to randomize the images if the order is not important to the viewer. SAVE your options for the slideshow to be created.
Slide 13: Congratulations!!  You now have a slideshow to display in your blog!  Select View Blog to check out your slideshow in action!  Add more gadgets to get the most out of your blog!  Have fun adding more posts, slideshows, and photos to your blog!
Slide 14: Add a picture to a Post  Select the icon for Blog This! To add a picture to a post on your blog.  Once you have signed into your blog, you can add text above or below the photo and choose the alignment of the photo to place it as a new post in your blog!
