Slide 2: We all are aware of fact that water is required by humans to survive as we need it for proper functioning of our body and apart from body needs there are many other things for which we require water like cooking, cleaning and washing. It is very important for human body to be properly hydrated all the time and lack of water in the body may result in dehydration causing physical and mental weakness. Not only human but all the other animals also require water for proper metabolism of the body. 8/2/11
Slide 3: Natural resources of potable water like rivers and lakes are bearing the brunt of human carelessness and most of the natural resources of potable water not scientifically are inappropriate for drinking purpose. In such a situation it will be a wise decision to have only filtered water for drinking purpose as the quality of water supplied by the government is under many objections. Many courtiers specially developing countries experience thousands of causalities because of the use of contaminated water on yearly basis. 8/2/11
Slide 4: Water borne diseases takes place because of the presence of harmful microorganism in the potable water some commonly found microorganism are protozoa, viruses, or bacteria, many of which are intestinal parasites. According to surveys water borne disease count for more than four percent of total global burden of diseases and approximately around 1.8 millions of people dye because of the water borne diseases per year globally. Now you might have got an idea that how much it is important to use 8/2/11 Filtered water.
Slide 5: You can get fresh water from other natural resources like springs but it is practically not possible to arrange that much quantity of water for personal use. However there are packaged water suppliers who claim to have purest water direct from the springs. But commercially it will be wise to use water coolers for filtered water supply in the office or in the home. There are basically two available types of water coolers one with direct water supply and another with bottled water supply. 8/2/11
Slide 6: Direct water supply water cooler often comes with water filter which is normally inbuilt whereas the bottled water cooler may or may not have already installed water filter as it uses already filtered water. Your selection of any water cooler depends upon your requirement. In the areas where all time water supply is available people use direct water supply water coolers and where it is not possible to have direct water supply bottled water cooler is used. It is also observable that impurities dissolved in water can be different at different places some places may have excess of bicarbonates of sodium and potassium whereas at some places impurities like zinc and copper have been found. All the water filters are not capable to eliminate all types of impurities. Be advised to check your local water for impurities before purchasing any water cooler or water filter. 8/2/11
