I found that when I first played Empires and Allies that I was really finding it difficult and frustrating... So I have written up a small guide to help you get started on your journey towards expanding your own empire! 1. If you don't already have neighbours... I have one important thing for you! YOU need neighbours! You need to find as many as you can. Remember, your first 18 hours of the game you are in a neutral state - this is to help familiarise yourself with the game. You won't have to worry about neighbours attacking you! It is great if you join groups to help build your own government, and once you're friendly with them, they will send you "Liberty Bonds". 2. Make sure when you are building your empire that you don't place your ground troops within the town centre and have them doing nothing! When you reach Level 6 you will see that all your military troops have a damage radios (it's like a blue square) which you will see this when you move them. You the placement of your troops as an advantage! Don't just place them randomly. 3. Try not to waste too much of your time with decorations or building your army too big (at the moment). Take in mind that the materials gold, wood, and oil are in limited supply! However, If you follow the main quests, you will be alright. With some of the quests you are required to build a lot of specific things, such as troop armies, and then you have to place them. So be careful when purchasing stuff, and make sure you have enough gold to finish the quest with! 4. Approach combat positively, if you lose buildings that's too bad, you can always replace them! Invading is worth it, as there are large payments to those who invade. If you return to the game and someone is invading you, and you have lost land, that's okay... you can attack them and they will be removed from your land. Everytime you deal a critical hit there is a large payout involved. If you win an invasion with a critical hit, the payouts are more than worth while. So go ahead, setup invasions with neighbours, and become a master! I have been playing Empires and Allies for quite some time, and I hope you find this somewhat helpful!
