Slide 2: What is a Meteorologist A meteorologist is a scientist who studies weather & climate.
Slide 3: Different types of instruments used by a meteorologist. A Barometer - An instrument used to tell how much air pressure there is. An Anemometer – An instrument used to tell how much & how strong wind is. A Dual- Scale Thermometer – Has both Celsius & Fahrenheit on it.

Water Vapor-Water in it’s gaseous state. Water Cycle-The continuous cycle of evaporation & condensation of water.
Slide 5: Types of forecasting The type of forecasting they use the most is synotopic forecasting. Synoptic forecasting is the summary of the weather at a given time. The other type of forecasting uses math equations with examinations of the past in the weather.
Slide 6: Meteorologists A daily weather forecast involves the work of thousands of people. The meteorologists all over the world and the work of thousands of modern computers make the forecasts better than ever. Also there are satellites orbiting all over the earth that take pictures of clouds.
Slide 7: If you like meteorology here are some jobs for you You could be a forecaster, climatologic, Environmental science Teacher, or a TV or Radio reporter. Those are just a few jobs you could do!!
