Slide 1: ==== ==== Thrifty Living Info You Need to See Visit: Thrifty Living ==== ==== By S. Giles1 In today's economy everyone is out looking for ways to both save more money and make more money. So it's a great feeling when you can shop around and luck into a great deal. But, there's one thing that's even better than finding a great deal when shopping online . . . like when you get paid to shop online! There are many sites now that will actually give you a cash back rebate while doing something you would likely do anyway. These sites operate like a portal site, where you sign in and then simply use their link to go to the retailer's site that you would normally shop at anyway. Once there, they pay you a certain percentage, that they have negotiated with the retailer, for every purchase you make. We're not talking about sites that you've never heard of, but mainstream retailers like Best Buy, Macy's, Walmart, Target, and literally hundreds or thousands more. It couldn't be easier to use these sites either, as all you need to do is sign-up, tell them how you want to be paid and just start shopping; there are no membership fees or charges to use the service at all. The retailers love getting the focused traffic from these sites! As I mentioned, there are now many sites that allow you to get paid to shop online. So one thing you need to figure out first is which one do you use? There is not much sense using all of them, as it may take you longer to accumulate cash back rebates and ultimately get paid, as most have a minimal cash back rebate requirement before you can get your money (usually pretty small though). Another great money making feature of these sites is many give you the opportunity to increase your cash back rebate total by referring friends, family, ect. and having them use your username or link to sign-up. For your referrals, they will get paid to shop online like you, and you can either get a one-time referral bonus, or an actual percentage of each future purchase they make. It can add up quickly! So, to help sort through all the sites out there now, I wanted to compare and give a quick rundown of some of the more popular ones, including some of the good and not so good things about each, to help you decide which may be the right one for you. KickitBack is a relatively new site that boasts over 600 retailers. It is fairly easy to navigate, is free to use and offers no limit to the amount you can get paid to shop online. They have a $5.00 minimum cash back rebate you must earn before you can request payment, and due to the return policies of many merchants, your rebate usually becomes payable typically after 30 days. One real nice thing is once to reach over $5.00 and your rebate clears the waiting period, they will send payment immediately to your PayPal account whenever you request it. One possible "not so good" thing, is that based on checking several of the most common places I shop at, they tended to have slightly lower cash back percentages than some other sites offer. Another thing is is that they give you a 0.5% cash back rebate for each purchase your referrals make, which may figure smaller or possibly bigger than some others. Fatwallet is another popular site that helps you get paid to shop online. They are associated with over 1000 merchants and have a money saving forum on their site, which can be a useful added feature if you frequent forums. Their cash back rebate percentages appear to be generally similar to other preferred sites. They have a $10.00 minimum cash back rebate before they pay you, and you could end up waiting as long as 91-121 days before your cash back rebate is available, depending on their retailer agreements. Once payable, they use PayPal to pay out weekly. Another possible drawback of this site is they don’t have any referral bonuses for getting others to sign-up.
Slide 2: Ebates is well-known site that gives you the opportunity to get paid to shop online as well. They have deals with hundreds of retailers and offer coupons for hundreds more. While they have most of the big merchants you will recognize, they appeared to not have several of the other big online retailers that other sites often have. The cash back percentages for most stores are relatively similar to other popular sites, but sometimes were a bit less in general. Payments are a bit more spread out as well, as they pay out cash back rebates about every 3 months. One unique thing they offer is that they can send your payment by check, PayPal or can even send a check to your preferred charity or family member (sometimes that may be one in the same). Another benefit is that they do pay for referrals, but only a one-time amount per referral; though they may increase the bonus depending on how many referrals you have sign-up. Mr. Rebates, one of my favorite places allowing you to get paid to shop online, has deals with more than 2000 stores. Their cash back rebates are very competitive, often on the higher side when compared to other sites. They also have thousands of coupons that can be used in addition to getting cash back. They also have a $10.00 minimum you must earn before they send a payment, and the waiting period to become payable is 90 days. Though it takes a little bit for that 1st payment, they send out payments by PayPal or by check at the beginning of every month. Another thing I like, is their referral program pays you a flat 20% of each cash back rebate your referrals earn . . . as long as they keep making purchases through Mr. Rebates' links, you keep racking up additional cash back rebates (at no cost to your referrals)! Today there are many ways to make money online. One of the easiest ways to make legitimate money with virtually no effort at all is to get paid to shop online. It's something you likely do every day, and if you are not getting paid for it . . . you are missing out on a great opportunity. One that, in these times, you can't afford to miss out on. Just think of what you've spent online this last year. The only "hard" part for you is to remember to sign in and use the links to visit the stores you like to shop at. I've personally received hundreds of dollars in savings this year alone. Give it a try, I know it will be worth it!
