St. Petersburg St. Petersburg is a city in Pinellas County, Florida. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 249,090, making it the fourth largest city in the state of Florida. St. Petersburg is the second largest city in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area. Tampa Tampa is the third largest city in the state following Jacksonville and Miami and it is a major United States city located in Hillsborough County, on the west coast of Florida.
