Slide 6: ® ® OTHER FEE Industrial Tour Charge: In order to give real life exposure of the industry, short duration and long duration industrial tours would be organized for all students of full time programs. Participation in the industrial tour is compulsory for which a charge of Rs.13,000/- (one time) is payable by student at the time of admission. Alumni Fee: This Fee is applicable on all the programs offered by the university. An Alumni Fee of Rs.1,500/- is to be paid along with 3rd Semester fee of MBA, M. Tech, LLM / 7th Sem. fee of B. Tech. / 5th Sem. fee of BBA, M.Sc. and 9th Sem. fee of BA LL.B & BBA LL.B/ 11th Sem. of B.Tech LL.B. Personality Development Program Fee: To improve communication & soft skills, it is mandatory for all the students to attend the Personality Development Program organized by UPES for which an amount of Rs.10,000/- along with 2nd Semester Fee in case of Post Graduate Program (MBA/ M.Tech/ M.Sc./ LLM) or Rs.15,000/- along with 3rd Semester Fee in case of Under Graduate Program (BBA/ BA LLB/ BBA LLB/ BTECH/ B.TECH+LLB) is payable by the student. Refundable Security: Refundable (interest free) amount of Rs. 20,000/- towards computer/library/lab services is also payable at the time of admission. In case any taxes/ levies on fee are charged by the Central/State/Local Authorities/Overseas Authorities from time to time, the same shall also be borne by the students. • • • • • • SCHOLARSHIP/FEE CONCESSION University of Petroleum & Energy Studies offers scholarships in some specific programs as decided by the University. The scholarships will be awarded purely on academic merit cum means. Waiving of Tuition Fee partially/fully will be considered for those who are awarded scholarships. The details of the scholarships would be provided to the students in the student's bulletin given to the students at the time of registration. Award of Scholarships will be decided by the Scholarship Committee & its decision shall be final and binding. 25% Concession on Tuition fee shall be provided only to Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis to be decided by the University subject to fulfilling the following conditions: - Students’ whose gross annual family income is not more than Rs.2 lakhs, - Students’ who posses valid domicile certificate from Uttarakhand state, - Should have passed class X & XII level schooling from Uttarakhand. However, this condition may be relaxed for wards of defense personnel subject to production of posting certificate outside the state issued by competent authority. Fee Payment Schedule for those admitted in Academic Year 2010-11 1st Semester 2nd Semester 3nd Semester 4nd Semester 5nd Semester 6nd Semester RAGGING • University will strictly enforce UGC’s Regulations on Ragging. • Ragging in any form inside or outside the campus and hostel premises is strictly prohibited under UPES Regulations, Ragging being a cognizable offence; the punishment for ragging may be summary expulsion from the University. • Ragging as defined by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India: “Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written, or by an act with the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student; indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological or to raise fear or apprehension thereof, in a fresher or a junior student, or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating essence of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.” At the time of admission 7nd Semester by 1st to 10th January, 2011 8nd Semester by 1st to 10th July, 2011 9nd Semester by 1st to 10th January, 2012 10nd Semester by 1st to 10th July, 2012 11nd Semester by 1st to 10th January, 2013 12nd Semester by 1st to 10th July, 2013 by 1st to 10th January, 2014 by 1st to 10th July, 2014 by 1st to 10th January, 2015 by 1st to 10th July, 2015 by 1st to 10th January, 2016 HOSTEL Limited in – house hostel facility is available on first-cum-first serve basis for boys at Dehradun Campus. UPES has tie-up with certain hostel agencies for availing of hostel facility for girl and boy students in Dehradun City. Student wishing to avail hostel facility, outsourced or in- house, will need to deposit; Hostel Fee: Rs.62,500/- for the academic year 2010-2011 Interest free refundable Hostel security Fee: Rs.10,000/Students who give consent to avail hostel facility once will not be allowed to withdraw it after the date of registration, hence fee paid once is not returnable under any circumstances.
