Slide 2: Closing and Review
Promise you will never say:
We have a problem. That’s the problem! The problem is…
The solution is our duty.
Assuming we have the knowledge, we must show and help students:
Become empowered Gain ownership Understand societal change Recognize their locus of control
Slide 3: What was our most important lesson?
Write what you found to be most important on the 3x5 index card. Please stand up when you have finished. We will manually shuffle the deck.
Slide 4: What was our most important lesson?
“GO” = walk around and trade index cards. “STOP” = Stop and pair up with the person next to you. Read and Rank the two cards. They must equal “7” together!
Card A = 0, Card B=7 Card A=1, Card B =6 Card A=3, Card B=4 Card A =5, Card B=2
We will shuffle our deck 3 times.
Slide 5: What was our most important lesson?
Add the 3 numbers together.
21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11…
x/7 is its individual percent. x/21 is its ranking out of all the facts. 21 is the highest possible class ranking. (7 highest score* 3 shuffles)
Slide 6: What do the numbers tell us?
If you have … Highs (20s) and lows (10s)
There was not enough clarification in lecture. Students are confused. Students weren’t paying attention. Everyone thinks everybody else’s comment is important. Students realized and understand the significance.
Lows (teens - 10s)
Highs (20s) to teens (19 – 15)
