Infrared heating is the transfer of thermal energy in the form of electromagnetic waves. Another advantage is that you don't have to turn the heater on half an hour or hour in advance to pre-heat the room. The warmth is felt immediately. Some of the most popular types of infrared heaters are: metal-sheathed tubular heaters, quartz tubes, quartz lamps, gas fired catalytic, flat-faced panels and ceramic emitters. There is no need to worry whether or not infrared heaters are safe. Most of the these heaters today have a protective sheath to cover the heating elements. The cover is usually made of a metal like aluminum, brass, copper, iron or stainless steel. There are indoor heaters as well as outdoor and patio heaters. These heaters can run off of propane, electricity or natural gas. Infrared heaters can be a great addition to any house heating system. They are efficient and produce heat immediately.
