Slide 2: Who said it? “I hope you boys have learned as much from me this year as I have learned from you. You’ve taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him. I guess it’s about time I joined the club.”
Slide 3: Coach Yoast “I hope you boys have learned as much from me this year as I have learned from you. You’ve taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him. I guess it’s about time I joined the club.”  Said during halftime of the championship game.  Important theme: Man’s heart is more important than their outward appearance.
Slide 4: Who said it? “I was afraid of you, Julius. I only saw what I was afraid of. Now I know I was only hating my brother.”
Slide 5: Gerry “I was afraid of you, Julius. I only saw what I was afraid of. Now I know I was only hating my brother.”  Said in the hospital after his car accident.  He learned not only to respect Julius, but to love him like a brother despite their differences.
Slide 6: Who said it? Coach Boone: “Was I too hard on the boys? Did my own ambition blind me?” “Whatever ambition it took to do what you did around here. This world could use a lot more of it.”
Slide 7: Coach Boone’s Wife Coach Boone: “Was I too hard on the boys? Did my own ambition blind me?” “Whatever ambition it took to do what you did around here. This world could use a lot more of it.”  Said after Gerry’s accident  Not only did Coach Boone want to win football games, he wanted to teach his players a valuable life lesson about respecting one another
Slide 8: Who said it? “I know football. What you did with those boys – you were the right man for the job.”
Slide 9: Coach Yoast “I know football. What you did with those boys – you were the right man for the job.”  Said to Coach Boone after winning the championship  Coach Yoast was no longer bitter about not being the head coach. He appreciated Coach Boone’s commitment to making the player better athletes and better men.
Slide 10: Who said it? “Gerry is gone but his spirit lives on. People say it can’t work – black and white. Well, here we make it work everyday. We have our disagreements, of course. But before we reach for hate, always … always, we remember the Titans.”
Slide 11: Sheryl “Gerry is gone but his spirit lives on. People say it can’t work – black and white. Well, here we make it work everyday. We have our disagreements, of course. But before we reach for hate, always … always, we remember the Titans.”  Said at Gerry’s funeral  The Titans learned a valuable lesson which they can remember whenever they face racial conflict in the future.
