It seems as though morning television is plagued with an infinite amount of diet advertisements. The reason diets are so popular are because they sell. Marketing has allowed companies to push diet plans and advertisements like never before. There are many tricks and schemes to watch out for when reviewing a diet infomercial. Most diet advertisements are filled with interviews and success stories. These success stories make you think that the product really works as described. Now the product might actually work, however, the success stories are usually exaggerated to the maximum. The next big issue with diet advertisements are that they show results after the diet has been run through supposedly. This means that you, the viewer, tends to not realize that the diet takes time. This translucent imagery makes one more likely to purchase the diet plan or advertisement. You must however realize that most diet products do work. The issue with the diet programs are that people expect too much too soon from the diet. From seeing the results on television to opening the FedEx box in your living room, you expect results immediately. The reality is that results don't happen within minutes. The better and more logical route is to not purchase any diet plans or advertisements. The simple way to having a successful diet is to not get dragged into someone's diet plan or supplement. It seems that a lot of diets on television are extremely difficult to follow, or they require expensive food to follow them verbatim. The better step is to actually make up your own diet plan. This part of the article is where I really want you as the dieter to think about things. What are your goals for this diet? What health food can you see yourself eating? and finally, what do you feel you can currently achieve with current state of mind? Once you have answered these questions, be sure to write down your answers in a log. The fun part comes next! In order to change your mindset you have to read success stories, read about health food, and read about your body. The best choice in current times is to simply Google whatever you are looking for. I find that there are many useful Youtube videos on weight loss that can get you excited for your newly started diet. So now that you are in the mindset of losing weight and all pumped up to do so, stop and reflect on how you feel. Re-answer the questions above and write the answers down in a journal. Do you feel that the answers were any different? The final and most translucent reason diets don't work are because they are diets. In modern day society a diet is usually just something to get fit and lose weight with. After you achieve your results you usually bounce back up to the weight you once were. This is understandable because so many diets restrict what you eat. This makes you end up wanting more and more of the things you crave. When you finally do get the things you crave, you go wild. So instead of thinking of your

If you can change your attitude towards healthy food you will end up enjoying it more. This will allow you to transition better while losing weight. It is hoped that with a lifestyle change you can change the way you think and eat food. With a diet most people lose hope eventually and gain all their weight back from the weight loss. So remember, diets do work, lifestyle changes will impact you the greatest in the long run however. So in conclusion, watch out for diet infomercials and really review them before purchasing if you feel you want the diet plan.
