Slide 2: Technology use in the classroom is when some type of technology is used in the classroom.  Technology integration is when types of technology is tied into lessons and activities for students. 
Slide 3:  Teachers can use technology for many different purposes in the classroom. These include… › › › › Information Images Interactions Inquiry To be more specific, word processing programs, calculators, TV programs, websites, digital cameras, etc.
Slide 4:  By integrating technology in the classroom, there are a few things that will be accomplished… › Will meet instructional, curriculum, assessment, classroom management, and many more standards. › Use technology as a learning tool for your students. For example, have students play a computer game to review a lesson. Computers can be used as mind tools in the classroom. › Teachers can also use white boards, video cameras, DVD players, and power points to guide students through lessons.
Slide 5: › Learning domain › Transmission: learning as instructor leads courses and demonstrations. › Emergence: learning as reflection and cognition. › Acquisition: learning as self-selected (exploring, experimenting, self-instruction). › Accretion: learning continually, learning of language, culture, habits, etc.).
Slide 6:  The effectiveness of technology depends how you implement it in your classroom. To be effective, a teacher should… › Plan properly how they are going to integrate it into classroom. › Check out how much technical support the school gets. › Have a trial period of the technology being used to see how well it will work with students.
Slide 7: Technology can be used in all forms for any subject in schools.  Teachers are responsible for engaging their students in technology.  Integrate technology into your lessons, don’t just “use” it.  Have fun with technology and make your lessons more creative and interesting by using it. 
