Slide 2: Car Starting • Six Ioxus 2000 Farad cells were connected in series and installed in the battery area of a V6 gas powered car. • The ultracapacitors provide the starter motor with ample currant to start the car regardless of ambient temperatures.
Slide 3: No Modifications To Vehicle • The car’s alternator and battery charging circuitry are sufficient to recharge the ultracapacitors. • The cells store enough energy to reliably start the car up to 24 hours after engine shutoff.
Slide 4: Benefits of Ultracapacitors • Ultracapacitors are much more tolerant to cold temperatures than batteries. • The high cycle life of ultracapacitors means that the car will wear out long before they do. • Performance of automotive accessories such as power windows are noticeably improved.
