Slide 1: ==== ==== This is the ONLY guide on the web that gives you a COMPLETE LEVELING guide from level 1 to level 50 for ALL Classes. http://doiop.com/starwarsswtor ==== ==== To choose a class to play in the upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. You must first choose which faction you like like to play on, The Galactic Republic or The Sith Empire. The Galactic Republic is known for being the "good guys", they are made up of people like the Jedi and the Clone Troopers you may have seen from the Star Wars Movies and the Sith Empire the "bad guys". They are made up of evil beings such as Darth Vader, although this game takes place thousands of years before such a characters like him. Choosing a side comes down to which side has the class and role you are looking to play as. Once you have figured out which side, it comes down to what class and role you are looking for. The roles to choose from are: Damage dealer, Tank, and Healer. As a damage dealer, your role is to put out the most DPS(damage per second) to enemies. As a Tank, your role is to maintain threat on enemy targets and take all the damage from them while the DPS roles work on killing the target. As a healing role, you must keep everyone in your group alive, that includes the tank, DPS and yourself. After choosing a Faction and a role, you must then choose your class. IF you are choosing the Sith Empire and want to tank, you have a few options to choose from. You can choose the Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, or Sith Inquisitor as a tank role, however most class are able to full fill more than one role. The Sith Warrior for example, this class can be a very effective tank as the right specialization, but can also be specialized for damage dealing as well. As for a Healing class, you could choose Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter. The Sith Inquisitor is a type of hybrid class, they can perform the roles of healing, tank, and damage. Although many classes can perform the same roles as others, some classes are more effective at these roles than others. If you have already decided on your faction, role, and class, you can then choose your race. The Human race is playable as any class. The Sith Inquisitor for example, is playable as Rattataki, Zabrak, Twi'lek, and Sith Pureblood. Each race as a special racial ability, this will often be the reason for a players choice in a specific race.
