Remove the grille sections and use a 5/16” drill bit to relieve the areas where the mounting studs will1 pass through the black plastic part of the factory grille. Remove enough plastic to allow the “Q” grille to fit snug but not too tight that the studs are under stress. Lower will not fit SRT-8 models The edges of the stainless steel grille can be extremely sharp. Please handle with care. E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects in material, workmanship or finish for Thirty-Six (36) months from the date of shipment by E&G. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at E&G Classics option, of the defective part or product. To obtain performance under this warranty you must: 1. Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof of pur chase. 2. If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for authorization to return unit. 3. Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved by E&G for return must have been purchased within the Thirty-Six (36) months. All returns require an authorization number obtained from E&G and the actual return must be accompanied by the written authorization form filled out completely. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt and shortages reported within 48 hours. All merchandise must be in a resalable condition. Merchandise must be packed carefully in the original packing. If original packing is no longer usable, repack item(s) comparable to original manner. All returns are subject to a 25% handling charge. Special order items are not returnable. Defective merchandise must have an explanation of the problem. No credit will be issued unless invoice number and date of purchase has been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole judge of defects in a product. 4. UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments freight collect. Once E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our warranty policy, E&G will credit incoming freight on damaged parts. 5. No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable. This warranty does not extend to any of our products which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or have been altered or repaired in any way. This warranty does not cover any accidental or consequential damages for any breach of this warranty agreement. E&G Classics shall have no responsibility for any loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damage, nor shall E&G be liable for any injury or damage to persons or property by reason of any defect in material, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. IMPORTANT! Open the hood and remove the plastic header panel covers (by lifting straight up, not shown). Apply masking tape completely around the factory upper and lower grille openings to protect the chrome and paint (not shown). Align the 4 sections of the “Q” grille into the factory grille openings. The fit will be tight and the studs will mark the areas necessary for grinding. WARRANTY INFORMATION: 5 6 5. Use caution not to hit the chrome plated section of the factory upper grille with the drill bit or chuck. 6. From behind the factory grille, use a small grinder to remove the factory tab prior to “Q” grille installation. Car Accessories | Dodge Accessories | Dodge Grilles
Slide 2: 11 8 7 11 7. 8. Trim the closed tip from the supplied vinyl caps and install them onto each stud welded to the back of the upper “Q” grille sections. Use black paint to black out the studs beyond the trimmed vinyl caps (as shown). 9. Remove the protective masking tape from around the upper grille openings. 10. Carefully align one (1) of the “Q” grille section in place. 11. Install a black plastic washer and an 8-32 ESNA half nut onto each mounting stud and tighten. Repeat until all four (4) sections are installed. 12. Reinstall the plastic header panel covers (not shown). 13. Use a jack and jack stands to raise and support the front of the vehicle to a comfortable working level. 14. For vehicles other than ones painted black or dark colors, mask the grille return edge 1/2” back of the lower opening and scuff the exposed paint with a scotch brite pad. Paint the return and, for all vehicles, everything that would be visible through the grille with flat or semigloss black paint. Once the paint is dry, remove the masking tape. 15a 15b 17 15. Use a 3/32” drill bit to drill (perpendicular to the face of the grille) through the holes in the lower E&G grille frame and through the verticle divider in the bumper cover (15a) and into the bumper cover (15b). Remove the grille frame and blow out plastic shavings. 16. Remove the protective cover from the “Q” grille and thoroughly clean using a mild solvent to remove any glue residue, followed by glass cleaner to remove sol vent residue. Car Accessories | Dodge Accessories | Dodge Grilles 17. Carefully align the lower grille into place. Install the sup plied 1-1/2” T-10 Torx pin head screws through the holes in the grille frame and into the holes drilled into the bumper cover. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS OR YOU WILL STRIP OUT THE HOLES IN THE BUMPER COVER ! 18.
