Using these objects as dumbbells in simple exercises can help a person lose weight without spending any extra money. Bicep curls, tricep overhead extensions, and many other arm exercises can be done with these simple weights. These kinds of weights can also be used to enhance lunges or step aerobics as well. Another good exercise that can be enhanced with a household object is the basic pushup. As mentioned earlier, pushups are great for toning the arms, but they can be made to work even better if done with the feet elevated. Using a chair, footstool, or low coffee table, people can make their pushups even more effective. Exercises Using Minimal Equipment Buying an elliptical machine, weight set, or treadmill is not necessary to lose weight in your own home. Purchasing workout videos can be a great way to shed pounds.
