Once the task was accomplished, Hou Yi became the enperor. He became a tyrant in years and wish to be immortal, so he send his people to Kunlun Mountains to get the immortal pill from The Queen Mother. However, his wife wanted to save the people from her husband's tyrannical rule and found the pill, took it, Hou Yi did not have enough time to shoot her wife down, and she was banished to the moon as a result. Legend says that her beauty is greatest on the day of the Moon festival. Taiwanese specially like to eat mooncakes and pomelos in this holiday.
