A very simple letter, yet extremely effective. Before long, Amy's boyfriend started chasing after her. They got back together eventually. Why is that letter so effective. Well, here is my analysis. First, the letter surprised Amy's boyfriend as it is too out of the norm. Amy actually agree with the break up, which is quite unexpected. Second, the content of the letter tells Amy's boyfriend that Amy will not be chasing him. If he didn't take the initiative to chase Amy, he risked losing Amy forever. Just the thought of losing someone
