Slide 6: The Technology Rock Stars When I first entered Guru, I was greeted by a host of people, including a well dressed wizard. Unbeknownst to me it was the feared Dr. Smirnova. As I spoke with the Guru natives, I was introduced to some Noob immigrants who were now users and had braved the divide and entered Guru. We soon were asked to become a unit and find a name for ourselves as everyone had. We discussed and learned about each other and decided we would be called technology Rock Stars’ (Colleen, Jenn, & Danielle). Everyone told me it would be tough, but I knew I was ready for the challenge and the hard work it would take to stay and become a Guru Native. We decided our motto would be technology builds bridges and helps close the gaps.

Slide 12: REFLECTIONS  In this class I have learned so much about Loti and the levels of technology that are used in our schools.  The readings and videos enriched my understanding of Web 2.0 technologies versus Web 1.0.  The self help videos were great in helping me become a native Guru. If I  had to explain this class to some one I would tell them that it’s a scary and sometimes overwhelming road, but in the end you reach a higher level of learning. The work load is heavy but you find yourself coming back for more with Dr. Smirnova. The tools I have learned to use and learned about are going to be a great resource for my future students and myself. The learning never stops because technology is always advancing. The one thing that I may change about this course would be to have two class meeting at the school. I feel that this would help learners like myself who sometimes need the individuality found in a classroom plenty of confidence. The meetings should be at the beginning as we did for this class. The second should be for the mid-term portion of the class to address questions, concerns, and other subjects.
