Promoting affiliate products takes some of the time and trouble out of your marketing process. Even at 50% commission you would still bring in a profit of $250 from those 5 affiliates. With NO additional time or work from you. So what is better 100% of $100 or 50% of $500? I don't think there is a question on where the math points. Most people considering this sales model have no idea how to start though. The first step is creating a product. Your product has to be a unique creation, not a resale rights product that you purchased. Creating a product isn't the task that most people think it is though. You can use a PLR product as a basic starting point and do a full rewrite. You can sit down and write a 10-20 page report on a topic you are passionate about. You can market a package of graphics if you are good with a graphics editing program. The possibilities are endless. And you can expand your network by offering a link to your affiliate product in both the forward and end notes of your product rather than offering resale rights. Make sure you put a catchy "hook" like "How would you like to sell this product yourself and not process a single payment, send a single file, or upload a single sales page? The big boys, like web hosting providers or software manufacturers, market their affiliate program from their own sales page. For the little guy, promoting through an affiliate marketplace is the easiest way to go. You can use a traditional affiliate provider or an alternative provider. With a traditional provider as the seller you pay a per sales fee which can vary from provider to provider. Pay outs are usually made every 2 week to a month. With an alternate provider you can quickly and easily set up your products for a one time

Whichever affiliate marketplace you choose to market your products through, the results can be exponential. 5 affiliates can easily turn into 10, 20, 50.
